SKLR ~ Private charter

A private charter that I organised. Nineteen of us hired the whole railway for the day.

Sittingbourne's Steam Railway nominally closed on Friday 26th December, 2008 after 39 years of Heritage operation. However a joint statement by land owners M-real & SKLR was issued on 24th March 2009 saying that an interim solution had been agreed which will allow SKLR to continue as a key part of the development of tourist and leisure activities at Sittingbourne.
SKLR will have a gap year in 2009 but still needs the support of its friends and enthusiasts; this isn't the end of the struggle! Please visit www.sklr.net for more information.
