Ancient photos

My interest in photography has drawn me into buying old photos from bric-a-bracs & charity stands. Those in this collection are by unknown photographers, (where they are known they are named), with many unknown locations (again named where known). Searches using Google and a detailed map of France (for the French images) have been in vain.
Further info gratefully received...

This fine postcard possibly shows 'HR' beside his Peerless railcar. No date or location although on the vertical right hand edge there is what I assume to be the photographer's studio where this was printed: 'A V( X? Y?) Carmoma. Saltillo' (Saltillo is just below Monterrey in Eastern Mexico)

Mystery solved: This is 'Pontaillac No4' an 0-4-2T built by Weidknecht in 1891 for the Tramways de Royan (France). 'Pontaillac' being named after the line's original terminus. Seen here being swarmed over by WW2 German troops. (See NGWorld #11 for more on this line)
